Program Note: "Babbling Brook" depicts the journey of a winding little stream in the woods. Along its way, the brook trips over rocks and logs, sneezes at the moss-covered boulders, and tickles the feet of woodland creatures. Eventually it reaches a serene, secluded area of the forest where the surface of the water appears motionless and glassy. The brook continues to charge onward, pressing forward like a pioneer.
