Program Note: I experience a very special kind of joy while standing outside in the middle of a summer rainstorm: barefoot, tongue sticking out, dancing, twirling, giggling, and with arms wide open. As the sky opens up, I feel completely free to delight in this childlike joy. This piece is an attempt to capture that incredible feeling of freedom.
